13th Annual 54th and Monon Art Fair

The 2012 54th and Monon Art Fair included 69 Artists and over 3,000 attendees last year.  There will be drawings for gift certificates at local restaurants. Free hot dogs, lemonade, and balloons complete the event with live music.  Admission is FREE!

French Market at St Joan of Arc

Featuring family entertainment and French cuisine, the annual French Market will be held from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 7 on the grounds of St. Joan of Arc Church, 4217 Central Avenue.

The free festival, which started as a Sunday afternoon family picnic, has evolved into a major neighborhood street fair with live bands, artisan booths, children’s games and an array of French food.

Featured bands this year include The Stardusters and Living Proof.

Food offerings include pate, quiche, escargot, oysters, mussels, French onion soup, cheese and fruit, rotisserie chicken, tarte flambé white Alsacian pizza, beef bourguignon, Crawfish Etouffee, pommes frites and ratatouille.  French dip roast beef sandwiches and BBQ ribs will also be available.

Dessert offerings include beignets, cheesecake, cream puffs, éclairs, chocolate mousse and Madeleines.  A bake sale will add to the gourmet selections.

The family festival also features children’s games and children’s food until 5 p.m.  Mass will be at 5:30 p.m. in the historic Meridian Kessler church constructed in 1929.

 

13th Annual Rocky Ripple Festival

The Rocky Ripple Festival occurs every year in September in the Rocky Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis Enjoy a beautiful fall day at the annual Rocky Ripple “Festival in the Park” while listening to live music and eating good food and drink. The event is staged entirely through volunteer efforts from the community. 2011 was the 12th year of the festival and the biggest and best yet! Proceeds benefit the Rocky Ripple Parks Endowment Fund which focuses on “the arts.” The Music, Arts and Crafts Festival is held in Rocky Ripple Hohlt Park that is free to the public. In 2011, as in years past, musical groups will perform an eclectic assortment of tunes throughout the entire day. There are arts and crafts for the kids, games and face painting.. The Community Association and Veterans Association provide a variety of grilled offerings and fresh corn on the cob for extremely reasonable prices.

This event provides funding for the Fishers Freedom Festival, Roy G. Holland Memorial Fund, and the ‘Backpack for Kids’ program to support Hamilton Southeastern students. Donations will be accepted for canned food, new toys, books, and puzzles for the Hamilton County Good Samaritan Program. This program benefits those in need during the holidays. There will be over 150 Vendors. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 or 6 tickets for $5. Admission: $5 Adults; $2 High School Students; under 12 years FREE.

St Luke’s 2013 Arts and Crafts Show

The St Lukes’s Holiday Bazaar showcases handcrafted items and the artistic talents of the vendors. The proceeds benefit local and global missions of St Luke’s Church. The Bazaar features a bake sale with home-baked pies, cakes, cookies and candies and hot homemade cinnamon rolls. There is also a luncheon for shoppers for a small fee.  Open to the Public. Admission is FREE.

The 37th Annual “That Something Special” Art and Craft Show

The Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Nu Tau Chapter in Greenwood will host their 37th Annual “That Something Special” Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 24th, from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, at Beech Grove High School, 5330 Hornet Ave., Beech Grove.  Browse through more than 135 booths of handcrafted, original items from around the state. This is a JURIED Show!  Your $2.00 donation at the door will benefit philanthropic projects for Greater Indianapolis.  Food and beverages will be available.
