Thresher Shark

4.25

The Thresher Shark possesses a distinctive large tail that resembles the arc of a rainbow. The tail is so large that it accounts for 33 percent of the shark's total body weight, Like a giant sea rake, the tail of the thresher shark helps to herd bony fishes and to whack at them, For most sharks, the front end is the dangerous bit. Thresher sharks are the exception. They’re deadly at both ends, because they’ve managed to weaponize their tails using cavitation to attack its prey. The Thresher accelerates towards a ball of fish, brakes sharply, flexes the base of its tail, and slings the tail tip over its head like a catapult, with an average speed of 30 miles per hour. This Thresher Shark is mostly submerged in clear blue glycerin soap and measures 3-3/8 inched long, 2 inches wide, and 7/8 inch thick weighing 3.4 oz. Perfect party favors for a JAWS party or for your favorite Science Teacher.
